The Wildlife Division of Kentucky Fish and Wildlife is currently seeking a Wildlife Program Coordinator to work within the Green River Region.
Responsibilities and job duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
The candidate will serve as the team leader in the supervision of all Wildlife Division regional and public lands staff in the Green River Region and maintains coordination with the Central office, program staff and field staff.
The candidate will be primarily administrative in nature and is responsible for day-to-day decision making on fiscal and personnel matters, handling regional issues, and the development of regional budgets, work plans, and reports.
The candidate will work closely with the Department administration in developing regional and statewide strategies to meet KDFWR Strategic Plan, habitat, and species-specific goals with regional biologists to implement and develop program opportunities; and with Wildlife Management Area (WMA) staff in developing and implementing short and long-term habitat management approaches and goals for WMAs.

Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in a biological science, wildlife biology, fish and wildlife management, conservation biology, natural resources, environmental sciences, or related field.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:
Must have five years of experience in wildlife management, wildlife biology and/or a related field.
Substitute EDUCATION for
Experience:
A master's degree in wildlife management, wildlife biology or a related field will substitute for one year of the required experience.
A PhD degree in wildlife management, wildlife biology or a related field will substitute for two years of the required experience.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION:

Must possess a valid driver's license prior to employment in this job classification.
Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification.

Working Conditions Work is performed approximately 50% indoor and 50% outdoors.
Duties involve working with all species of wildlife found in the Commonwealth.
